If you’re planning hikes, especially around the south or central plateau, carry a light waterproof layer in your backpack, clouds begin gathering in those regions this afternoon, and a few brief, scattered showers aren’t out of the question.

Late Afternoon and Evening: Cloudier Skies, Showers Move In

By late afternoon, expect the sky to turn a bit moodier, especially over the south and up on the plateau. Most of the coast should remain bright, but the air will start to feel a touch fresher and clouds will begin making their way in from the northeast.
