Sunny and Mild Weather – Mauritius (Nov 28)

Mauritius wakes up to another bright and calm morning, much like yesterday. The afternoon may bring some clouds, but the overall weather will remain warm and mostly dry across the island. Only a few isolated areas might see light showers over the weekend.

Today’s weather – Clear morning, cloudy afternoon

This morning will be sunny across the island, with a light and variable breeze. By the afternoon, skies will become partly cloudy for a while, though rain is unlikely today.
Winds will blow around 10 km/h, shifting from west to south by evening.

A weak cloud line sits about 50 km east of Mauritius, but it’s expected to remain offshore, gradually moving away from the island.

Tomorrow afternoon, some light rain (3–8 mm) may develop over the central plateau, while Sunday could bring 10–20 mm of rainfall in parts of the north and central regions during the afternoon hours.

Rodrigues weather today

Yesterday, Rodrigues recorded light rainfall in some areas, between 0.2 mm and 0.4 mm.
Since 4 AM, a few clouds have passed over the island, bringing a slight chance of 1 mm of rain, but these will move westward and conditions will improve gradually, leading to a sunny day overall.

Winds will blow from the north-northeast at around 16 km/h.
More notably, a cluster of clouds is forming 60 km northeast of the island, with the potential for a small marine whirl or weak vortex over open waters. By Monday, these clouds may bring 10–20 mm of rain to Rodrigues.

The sea will start calm (around 1.5 m) but will become rougher by evening, reaching 2.5 m offshore.

Weather outlook

The weekend will continue with warm, summer-like weather, alternating between sunny mornings and slightly cloudy afternoons.
Sunday and Monday may bring occasional showers, particularly in the north and over higher grounds.
